Engineering Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to support the design, development, testing, and integration of advanced defense and aerospace systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience with real projects while building technical skills, learning defense industry standards, and contributing to meaningful outcomes. This internship is ideal for technically curious, driven students who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and want more than a typical internship experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support design and development of electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing systems for defense applications.
  • Provide support to staff with engineering tasking under guidance
  • Participate in prototype builds, system integration, and lab/production testing
  • Generate, and contribute to, engineering documentation while following traceability and configuration management protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering field
  • Familiarity with CAD, electrical design, and/or data analysis tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Altium, MATLAB, Python)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • U.S. Citizenship required; eligibility to obtain security clearance

Staff Electrical Engineer

Program Manager Position

McCormick Stevenson, subsidiary of Paligen Technologies, is adding a Program Manager to the team. The Program Manager will perform day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, possibly involving multiple projects. Establish and maintain client relationships on assigned programs. Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and production of all contract support activities. Maintain organizational standards of customer satisfaction, quality, and performance. Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives. Manage project budget and internal funding sources for maximum productivity.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with clients, internal teams and vendors to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plans, budgets, and timing for project tasks.
  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.
  • Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are achieved.
  • Manage the development and delivery of the response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including developing cost, manpower estimates and coordinating technical inputs.
  • Develop and manage the budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
  • Work with other program/project managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within
  • the organization.
  • Build the McCormick Stevenson brand through customer focus, performance, and successful completion of programs on schedule and within budget.
  • Analyze, evaluate and overcome program risks, produce program reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor program performance including related tasks, activities and deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • BS degree in engineering or related field with a minimum of 5 yrs relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience managing large and complex programs or projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years Program Management experience in a DoD and national security environment.
  • Experience managing the development of successful proposals in the DoD and national security industries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading proposal development tasks.
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and US Government FARs.
  • Fundamental knowledge of project and program management methodologies.
  • Understand the wider objectives of the program, such as business and strategic goals.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of individuals.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • Direct experience managing DoD prime contracts.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM software.
